Psalm 28:1

"For if you are silent to me, I will become like those who go down to the pit."

Has there ever been something so big in front of you in your life that you knew you would fail miserably if God didn't show up? That's a good thing and that's how David felt in this Psalm. Coming out of college I have some big dreams that I feel are from the Lord but I have no idea how in the world any of these things will ever happen. They are too big for me! Check out this quote from Josh Patterson: "You've had those dark night of the soul, that crisis of belief. Those times when you're budded up against a reality that is too dark, too big, too crazy for you to handle and all of a sudden all you have is a fist that can cling to the cross and a mustard seed of faith." That might be all we have in those time but that's all we need. All we need is a little bit of faith, a mustard seed of it, so that we can step out of the boat not knowing what lies ahead but knowing by faith alone that God will provide. And all we need is a fist to hang on to the cross that hung the one who is faithful. 1 Thes 5:24 says "He who calls you is faithful, and HE WILL DO IT!" Why don't you step out of the boat. God is going to have to show up to save you from sinking - but he will.
